The CDS 7550S is a stand-alone 72 position Thermal Desorption Autosampler which does not need a separate sample concentrator, like the 7550 model. Built on the 2nd generation autosampler platform, the CDS 7550S is capable of 3D positioning within 1 mm, and thanks to its unique custom calibration, it could handle 3.5″ standard Thermal Desorption tube from any manufacturer. These features make CDS 7550 the most reliable Thermal Desorption autosampler available to the market. The 7550S adopts two focus modes as Pre-desorb\Pre-heat function for high humidity sample, and optional Peltier module for lighter compounds, to improve the resolution of early eluting peaks.
Product Features
CDS adopts a novel way to protect the TD tube by sealing in a reusable gas tight metal chamber, while waiting for the autosampler to pick up.
Dual Mode Focusing Trap
To improve the resolution of early eluting molecules, CDS adopts pre-desorb and pre-heat technique along with Peltier cooling to mechanically and chemically confine analytes on the analytical trap to improve focusing.
Stand-Alone Autosampler
The 7550S Thermal Desorption Autosampler has a built in focus trap and does not require a separate sample concentrator.
High Temperature Valve Oven Programmable to 350°C
The high temperature oven (350°C) significantly extends the analyte range from VOCs to sVOCs.
Excellent TD Tube Compatibility
The autosampler can be configured to accommodate standard 1/4″ x 3.5″ TD tube from various manufacturers from its custom calibration interface
Powerful Windows Based Software
The software is Windows 10 compatible and gives the user full access to method editor and sequence table.
Built-in Leak Check
The automated leak check assures the system is air-tight before proceeding with the desorption of your sample.
Thermal Slicing/Tube Conditioning
7550S has capability to perform programable vent based on desorption temperature. This feature could be used as tube conditioning after desorbing the target VOCs of interest.
10,000:1 Sample Split
This optional sample split feature allows the 7550S to quantitatively transfer 1% of sample to GC. Combining with the GC sample split, this feature could offer up to 10,000:1 total split.
